The Tirupati police on Sunday (August 24, 2025) arrested a hygienic worker who allegedly turned into a notorious vehicle jack and confiscated up to 53 stolen motorcycles.
The accused identified as P. Kumar (39) of Tiruchanur faces accusations at several police stations, including Tiruchanur, Tirupati’s countryside, Alipiri, Chandragiri, Tirupati East, Tirupati West
The police captured the defendant after noticing his suspicious movement during the vehicle check on the Sunday road Renigunta-Chandragiri Bypass.
The police superintendent V. Harshavardhan Raju told the media that Kumar, who worked as a hygienic worker in Sulabh races, resorted to lifting motorcycles to fulfill his vices and noble lifestyle.
The value of 53 stolen two -wheelers was estimated at 40 ₹ Lakh. Mr. Raja announced rewards for a team of Tiruchanur police led by inspector B. Sunil Kumar for arresting the accused.
