Former Minister of Income and President of the District District of YSRCP SRICAKULM Dharman Krishna Das claimed on Monday that the government had misused police powers to thwart its plan to protest the lack of fertilizers for farmers during the current Kharif season.
Police officials have arrested more than 50 leaders and activists YSRCP in Narasannapet, Etcherle, Amadalavalas and Srikakula of rural mandala as they headed for Sricacula to participate in agitation.
The police also arrested the former Etcherl Mla Gorle Kiran Kumar and others who organized a protest over their custody and stated that the police had no right to prevent them from participating in the planned agitation in Sricacula.
When he talked to the media, Mr. Krishna Das said that the government did not provide enough fertilizers for farmers who were forced to create long queues in depots to collect urea.
He said, “The constant rains provided much needed relief and revived the hopes of the bumper.
The leader of the YYSRCP for youth Dharman Ram Manohar Naida strongly condemned the arrest of YSRCP leaders when they wanted to give petitions to officials because of the problem of lack of fertilizer.
