The District Police Belagavi arrested a 65 -year -old truck driver from Maharashtra for accusing the involvement in the accident, in which Minister Laxmi Hebalkar was injured a few months ago.
Madhukar Kondiram SomavANSH from the village of Takraravadi in Indapura Taluk in the PUNE district in Mahari is an arrested driver.
He was driving a truck that hit Mrs. Hebalkar’s official vehicle near Ambadgatti on the National Highway Pune-Bengalur.
After the driver’s complaint, the Kittur police registered the Hit-and-Run case.
Police Bheemashankar S. Gouled said on Thursday that a detailed investigation led them to the vehicle and driver.
Investigators gathered evidence, including CCTV shots and truck color samples. They were sent to the Forensic Sciences laboratory. Once the results were received, the investigators arrested the accused.
