The Hulimava police arrested a 49 -year -old fake “tantrik”, who allegedly cheated on people by offering special rituals to “turn away evil and help them multiply their wealth.”
The defendant, Dadapeer, of Kola, was arrested from Bannerghatty, looking for potential clients to sell the valuables he stole from his victims.
On the basis of their award, the police received 485.4 grams of gold valuables worth 53 Lakhs held in his home in Kolar. He held a part of which in the jewelry shop in Nagpur.
M. Narayan, M. Narayan, a representative of the Electronics City Division, explained that the accused had lured people by “the magic of evil was occupied on the house” and offered to avert it with special rituals that could also multiply their wealth.
The accused would ask them to get all their golden valuables under the pretext of the implementation of rituals. Then he would put them in the box before the victims and directed them to keep it in their room for 21 days without opening it.
When packing valuables, it would distract their attention and replace them with pebbles and stones before leakage, the police said.
With his arrest, the police broke up to four cheating cases. Another investigation must be found by his sentences, the policeman added.
