Police CEO Harish Kumar Gupta announced that “AI hackathon” at a national level will be held 27 June 28 and 29 at the RVR & JC College of Engineering in Guntur. The main Minister of N. Chandrababa Naidu is scheduled to start the event.
Harish Kumar said: “The main goal of the event organized by the state police department is to explore the solution based on artificial intelligence (AI) for police and public service. Hackathon is in line with the vision of Mr. Naida in advance of modern technology.”
Harish Kumar said that Hackathon would serve as a strategic platform to develop AI solutions and added that eight problem statements were in cooperation with their knowledge partner, 4Sightsai, curator, eight problem statements.
The department has expanded invitations to domestic and international IT companies, educational institutions and startups. So far about 30 companies have registered. Each team that includes three to four members will work on the development of AI -based solutions during a three -day event.
Participation in AI Hackathon is free. Teams with the highest performance will receive certificates and a total cash price of 10 Lakh. The solution will be evaluated by the selection commission for the award, which consists of higher IPS officers, IT experts and academic scientists. Selected teams will be provided free of charge during the event.
DGP emphasized the growing use of technology in police activities and noted that drones were already widely used for routine patrols and cities. He added that the Ministry examines potential cooperation with India AI in order to further integrate AI into the enforcement of law.
