Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a boat ride on the Hooghly River in Kolkata on Friday (April 24, 2026) morning and met boatmen and early morning walkers.
Mr. Modi posted several photos on social media from his trip down the river, in which he is seen sitting on a wooden boat with a camera in hand, with the iconic Howrah Bridge and Vidyasagar Setu in the background.
“I tried to photograph this great river. I also got a close-up view of Vidyasagar Setu and Howrah Bridge,” the Prime Minister said on X.
