
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a festive guard in Bangkok after her arrival in Thailand for a two -day visit to attend the sixth Summit Bimstec on Thursday.
Modi received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Suriya Junggrungreangkit.
Upon arrival at Don Mueang Airport, Modi received a great welcome from the Indian community and was also admitted.
“Graded for the warm welcome of the Indian community in Bangkok. India and Thailand share a deep -rooted cultural bond that continues to flourish through our people.
Mea Randhir Jaiswal, who shares a picture of the ceremonial welcome with the Honorary Rangers, said:
“Both leaders will have extensive discussions on mapping a journey for future partnerships in India-Thai,” he said.
PM Modi follows the Thai version of Ramayana
Meanwhile, Modi was also witnessing the Thai version of Ramayan Ramakien.
Ekalak Nu -ngoen, along with a group of students from music and drama, Bunditatanasilpa Institute in Thailand introduced the narration of the epic through the fusion of two dance forms – Bharatanatyam of India and Khon from Thailand.
The Prime Minister’s office described this as a cultural connection as no other.
“He witnessed the captivating performance of Thaia Ramayana, Ramakien. It was a truly enriching experience that beautifully showed shared cultural and civilization links between India and Thailand.
Bimstec summit
The Prime Minister will join Bimstec (Bay of Bengal Initiative for more sectoral technical and economic cooperation) from Thailand in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Bhutan to supervise the signature of naval cooperation agreements.
The Bimstec summit will bring a modi in the face of the Prime Minister Nepal KP Sharma Oli, the main advisor to Bangladesh Muhammad Yunus and the leader of the Myanmar Military Junta Min Aung Hlaing.
