The projects cover key sectors, including rail connectivity, urban living, science and innovation, citizen-focused services and advanced healthcare.
The Prime Minister will announce four new train services, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains and one passenger train, at Putharikandam maidan at 10.45 am.
The trains include Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express and a new passenger train between Thrissur and Guruvayur.
As part of efforts to boost urban livelihoods, Mr. Modi will launch the PM SVANidhi credit card, which represents the next phase of financial inclusion for street vendors. The Prime Minister will also disburse PM SVANidhi loans to one lakh beneficiaries, including street vendors from the state.
Innovation Center
Here he will lay the foundation stone for the CSIR-NIIST Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship Hub. The center will focus on life sciences and bioeconomy, integrate traditional knowledge systems such as Ayurveda with modern biotechnology, sustainable packaging and green hydrogen, and support start-up creation, technology transfer and global collaboration. It will serve as a platform for turning research into market- and enterprise-ready solutions.
Mr. Modi will lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art radiosurgery center at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology. The device will provide highly accurate, minimally invasive treatment of complex brain disorders and thus strengthen regional tertiary health care capabilities.
He will also inaugurate the new General Post Office at Poojappura. This state-of-the-art technology-enabled facility will offer a comprehensive range of postal, banking, insurance and digital services and further enhance citizen-centric service delivery.
After the government program ends, the Prime Minister will address the Bharatiya Janata Party rally at the same venue around 11.30 am.
