
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Varanasi on Friday (April 11, 2025) to start development projects worth 3,884 Crore.
He will arrive at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Varanasi at 10 am and will stay for about two and a half hours. After landing, Mr. Modi heads directly at Mehdiganj at a public meeting.

Public meeting
Bharatiya Janata (BJP) invited more than 50,000 people to a public meeting, where PM Modi starts and lays a foundation stone for various projects worth 3,884 Crore. Modi is expected to deal with the assembly for about 20 minutes, starting at around 12:30.

Babatpur airport extension

In addition, 10.50 hectares of land near the airport were obtained. The completion of this project will create a smooth transport route between the city and the airport.
According to reports, the Prime Minister’s plan also includes a new transport city in Varanasi, which will be built in Mohansarai. Within this project, the CRORE 12 GBP will be spent on requirements such as parking trucks, warehouses, restaurants, shopping complex and dormitory facilities. CCTV and safety system will also be supervised for truck drivers.
PM Modi also lays a foundation stone for the reconstruction of various parks in the city. 11 Varanasi main parks will be beautified. Among them are prominent parks Ashok Nagar, Mahadev Nagar, Kanshiram Yojana and Birdopur. This work will increase the greenery and beauty of the city.
35 new works of art will also start at the Varanasi intersection. These artifacts include a hockey stick, a dancer with Kathak, Nandi Lion and replicas of urban ghats. These artifacts will increase the identity and beauty of the city.
According to reports, the mini stadium will also be built in Shivpur with CRORE 6.15 GBP. This stadium will have sports facilities such as yoga pavilion, walking, cricket network, hockey field and football field. This complex will show up as a great place for children, youth and sports lovers.
The PM Modi initiative will include 345.12 GBP for 130 rural drinking water schemes within the JAL Jeevan mission, more than 100 Crore budget to expand different roads and investment of more than 1,000 crore for 400 kV substations and transmission lines.
In addition, many new universities and libraries will also be built in the education sector.
