
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, just ahead of the launch of the Science and Technology Discovery Conclave (ESTIC) 2025, said the forum will bring together important players from the fields of science, education, research and others.
As the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund will also be launched at the event, the Prime Minister expressed happiness and said that the program will give impetus to several researchers across India.
Commenting on X, PM Modi said, “Let’s talk about science and innovation! He will launch the Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam at around 9:30 am. This forum will bring together key stakeholders from the world of science, education, research and more. It is a pleasure that the SchemeR fund will also be launched as an imm affair, which has given impetus to several researchers across India.”

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Innovative Science and Technology Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in the state capital around 9.30 am.
Prime Minister Modi will also address the rally on the occasion.
As part of a fundamental strengthening of the research and development ecosystem in the country, the Prime Minister will launch the program ₹1 Lakh Crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme Fund.
The objective of this scheme is to support a private sector driven research and development ecosystem in the country.
“The scheme has a total cost ₹1 million crore in 6 years, p ₹20,000 crore allocated for the fiscal year 2025-2026, financed from the Consolidated Fund of India. It offers long-term loans with low or zero interest, equity investments and contributions to the Deep-Tech Fund of Funds. Grants and short-term loans are not provided under this program,” said a statement from the Ministry of Science and Technology dated July 31, 2025.
ESTIC 2025 will be held from November 3 to 5.
The conclave will bring together more than 3,000 participants from academia, research institutions, industry and government, along with Nobel laureates, distinguished scientists, innovators and policy makers.
The talks will focus on 11 key thematic areas, including advanced materials and manufacturing, artificial intelligence, bio-manufacturing, blue economy, digital communications, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, emerging agricultural technologies, energy, environment and climate, health and medical technology, quantum science and technology and space technology.
“ESTIC 2025 will feature talks by leading scientists, panel discussions, presentations and technology showcases to provide a platform for collaboration between researchers, industry and young innovators to strengthen India’s science and technology ecosystem,” the PMO said in a statement. (OR)
