
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received an honorary guard at the State House in the capital of Namibia, Windhoek.
Upon his arrival, Modi was welcomed by a warm and culturally rich welcome. The Prime Minister was also welcomed by the 21-Zbrastí greeting.
This emphasized the importance of this historical visit, the first Prime Minister Modi to Namibia and the third Prime Minister of India.
During his visit, he organizes bilateral conversations with President Netumbo Nandi -ndiitwah and appeal to the Namibian parliament.
“He landed in Windhoek a moment ago. Namibia is a valued and trusted African partner with whom we try to strengthen bilateral cooperation. We look forward to meeting President Dr. Netumbo Ndaitwah and addressing Namibian parliament today,” published on X.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also pay tribute to the late dr. Samu Nujom, founding father and the first President Namibia.

In his contribution to X the Prime Minister expressed his pride in the diaspora and how he retained his connection with their culture and traditions.
“The Indian community in Namibia is very optimistic about the friendship in India Namibia, and this is reflected in a special welcome in Windhoek. I am extremely proud of our diaspora, especially how they maintained their culture and traditions,” PM Modi said.
At the airport, the Prime Minister received a solemn, traditional welcome, where he also tried his hand to play Namibian traditional drums.
PM Modi is in Namibia for a state visit to the invitation of Namibian President Netumbo Nandi -ndiitwah.
PM Modi arrived in Namibia after closing his two -day state visit to Brazil, where he attended the 17th Summit in Rio de Janeiro and conducted bilateral interviews with President Luiz Lula da Silva in Brasilia.
Namibia is the final stop for the 500th tour of the Prime Minister, which also included visits to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobag, Argentina and Brazil.
