
Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a number of development projects worth £5 400 Crore in West Bengal, revealing the main initiatives across oil and gas, energy, railway and road sectors aimed at increasing infrastructure, connection and clean energy in the region.
Modi, which deals with the program in the industrial city of Durgapur, said that in the world is discussing India’s determination to become a developed nation and ongoing transformation of the country’s infrastructure is a key pillar of this vision.
“Today, the whole world is discussing determination for developed India. Behind this is visible changes in which the building of the developed India is being built. The main aspect of these changes is India’s infrastructure,” said the Prime Minister.
Modi reiterated the vision of his government about “One Nation, One Gas Grid”, said that the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga project was conceptualized to ensure fair access to energy and stimulate industrial growth throughout East India.
During the daily events, PM laid a cornerstone for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) £Gas distribution project in the city of 1,950 Crore in the districts Bankura and Purulia. The aim of the project is to supply natural gas pipes (PNG) to households and industries, compressed natural gas (CNG) in retail stores and generate employment in the region.
He also devoted himself to the nation £1 190-CRORE DURGAPUR-KOLKATA section (132 km) Durgapur-Haldia pipeline, laid under the initiative of Pradhan Mantri Urja Gang (PMUG). Purba Bardhan, Hooghly and Nadia are expected to go through the Purba Bardhan, Hooghly and Nadia and will benefit people with stable and clean natural gas supply.
