
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the late Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi on the anniversary of birth.
“To his anniversary today, my honors to the former Prime Minister Shri Rajiva Gandhi,” PM Modi wrote on “X”.
In addition to Prime Minister Modi, a deputy of the Priyanka Gandhi congress, she shared a post on her official “X” handle and paid tribute to her father and late India PM Rajiv Gandhi.
“We have inherited from you the values of compassion, love and patriotism. We both follow these values forever. No one will be able to break them, no one can stop them, nor our steps never endless,” he read the post.
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday paid a flower tribute to his late father and former Indian Prime Minister Gandhi in Veer Bhumi in Nový Dilli. Her husband Robert Vadra and son Raihan Vadra joined her.
The President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge and MP P Chidambarama also paid tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his anniversary of birth.
Congress to celebrate the day as “Sadbhavana diwas”
Mallikarjun Kharge also offered his prayers to anniversary of the birth of Gandhi. In his paper “X” Kharge mentioned that the Indian National Congress would celebrate the day as “Sadbhavana Diwas”.
“Today, when we observe Sadbhavan Diwas, we remember Rajiv Gandhi, a remarkable leader who inspired Millions of Millions and powered India until the 21st century. Missing achievements for India by an example of Rajiva Gandhi’s heritage and brought his deepest respect.
Rajiv Gandhi took the lead of the congress in 1984 after the assassination of his mother and then Prime Minister Indire Gandhi. At the age of 40 he became the youngest Indian Prime Minister when he took over the office in October 1984.
Until December 2, 1989 he worked as Prime Minister India. He was born on August 20, 1944, and the Gandhi Rajiv was murdered by the liberation of Tigers Tamil Eelam (ltte) of a suicide bomber during the election assembly in SriperMBudud in Tamil Nadu on 21 May 1991.
India under his government recorded the beginning of the process of modernization in its economy, promoting technology, telecommunications and reforms of education.
Rajiv Gandhi played a key role in the modernization of the country’s technological infrastructure. His vision helped to lay the foundation for the Indian IT boom in 90 and beyond. His government and IT policy reduced import obligations to computers and software to support its growth. His government’s policies helped establish the National Association of Software and Service Companies in 1988 and strengthen the Indian software industry. His government also encouraged computer education in schools and universities.
