Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday solemnly inaugurated the widest Asian six-lane, 1.86 km long bridge tenty-simaria, built at the price over the price £1 870 crore, on the Ganga River.
Connects Aunt Ghat in Mokama in the Patna district with Simaria in Begusarai.
The largest bridge for 34 meters is now the widest extracted cable overpass in India and one of the most modern in Asia.
The Minister of the Union Giriraj Singh described the project as “a milestone in the development of Bihar”.
He also said that the bridge is complemented by other central projects such as the NTPC plant and the new fertilizer unit in Begusarai.
5 key features of the bridge tenty-simaria
1-The bridge of tenty-simaria is 1.86 km long and 34 meters wide. It is built on the National Highway 31 on the Ganga River, in parallel with the Rajendra set. Its length of the segment are 57-115 meters with bracket arms up to 70 meters.
The 2-scent bridge shortens the travel time and distance by up to 100 km, especially for cargo carriers. Previously, longer routes had to be taken to close the rajendra set for heavy vehicles.
The bridge will be beneficial to Begusarai, Supaul, Madhubani, Purnea and Araria in the north and Patna, Sheikhpura, Nawada and Lakhisarai in the south.
3-The bridge would prove as a catalyst for economic development in Bihar. Industrial nodes, such as Barauni, would see smoother transport of goods, logistics costs will be reduced, and farmers, especially Makhana growers in northern Bihar, get faster access to markets.
4-The design of the Briidge could only be completed after the engineering challenges overcome, because the entire section lies in a flood, low -lying zone. Civil engineers used modern extra dosed technology to ensure durability and smoother movement of vehicles.
5-Mohar’s bridge from Tenta would strengthen Bihar cultural and social ties. It improves access to the main religious place Simaria Dham, as well as the place of birth of the Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. It will also integrate northern and southern Bihar.
