Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, July 3, addressed Ghany’s parliament and emphasized the importance of progress of the global south. PM Modi stressed that real progress can only be achieved by seizing the voice of the global south. The Prime Minister also spoke of the national honor of the “Officer of the Order of the Ghana Star”, which was awarded and donated it to “permanent friendships and shared values that both counts”.
“I am deeply honored to address this respected house today. It is a privilege to be in Ghana, a country that radiates the spirit of democracy, dignity and resistance. As a representative of the world’s largest democracy, I bring goodwill and greetings of 1.4 billion Indians.”
“Ghana is known as the land of gold, not only for what lies under your land, but just like for the heat and strength in your heart,” PM Modi said.
