
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched two main agricultural programs – PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana and Aatmanirbhart mission in pulses – with combined financial expenditure £35 440 crore.
Modi made a notice during a special Krishi program and claimed that these programs were designed to transform the lives of millions of farmers in India by focusing on the country’s self -confidence and the well -being of farmers.
“Today, on this historical day, two important new schemes are launched for the self -confidence of the Earth and the well -being of farmers. First, Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Dalhan Atmanirbhart mission. £35,000 crore in these schemes, ”PM Modi said.
What are the new agricultural schemes?
Pradhan mantri dhan dhaanya krishi yojana:
Expenditure £The aim of 24,000 crore is to promote agricultural productivity, support crop diversification and sustainable agricultural procedures.
-Schema is also trying to improve the storage after harvesting at the level of Panchayat and the block.
-The goal is to improve the irrigation equipment and ensure the availability of long -term and short -term loan in 100 selected districts.
Mission for Aatmanirbhart in pulses
– assignment £11 440 Crore is dedicated to achieving self -confidence in pulse production.
– The aim of this mission is to increase productivity level and expand the culture area for pulses.
-It also focuses on strengthening the entire value chain to cover basic components, such as purchase, efficient storage and processing-everything when working to minimize losses after harvesting.
Both schemes, already approved by the cabinet, will be implemented from the upcoming season Rabi (winter) into the years 2030-31.
GST reforms bring economic relief
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also emphasized direct economic reliefs delivered to Indian farmers and rural families through the tax reforms of goods and services (GST). He noted that these reforms have reduced the costs of agricultural equipment and other basic items.
According to the newly reformed GST system, the tractor has become £40,000 cheaper, offers farmers significant savings during this festive season with further reduction in prices on dripping systems, sprinklers and harvesting tools, added that lower GST also reduced the cost of environmental fertilizers and biopesticides used in natural agriculture.
