
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Maldives on Friday as part of his second stage of visiting two nations. He warmly welcomed Mohammad Muizza from President Maldives.
The videos showed that both leaders greet each other a hug. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Defense, Minister of Finance and Minister of Internal Security in the Maldives was also present.
The Maldiv City, a man, had a solemn view on Friday, decorated with large posters, colorful banners and the flutter of Indian flags when the island nation focused to welcome the premiere of Narendra Modi for his two -day state visit.
Throughout the city, posters were displayed by the message “Warm greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modim”, some of which represented a photo of PM Modi. Indian flags were lined with streets, and several children were also visible how to hold the paintings and pictures of PM Modi in anticipation of his arrival.
PM Modi was invited by the Maldiv President Mohammad Muizza and attended the 60’s celebrations.
This is the third visit to PM Modi in the Maldives and the first head of state or government during the possession of the President of Muizza.
Members of the Indian community living in the Maldives expressed their enthusiasm over the vision of the Prime Minister.
Before the arrival of PM Modi, a member of the Indian community, he said, “We are proud to have a huge leader. We are proud of the Sindoor operation, the event he has accepted, and also for developments in India”.
During his stay, Prime Minister Modi will negotiate with President Mohammad Muizza to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
The visit also commemorates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and the Maldives. India has played a key role in supporting the Maldives through development aid, infrastructure projects and emergency aid in recent years.
