The Prime Minister Narendra Modi began on Monday 16. Conference of combined commanders (CCC) in Kolkata. The conference, which has been held today today, takes place at the East Headquarters of the Indian Army in Vijay Durg, formerly known as Fort Williams.
This is the first major meeting of the Armed Forces after the Sindoor operation and is attended by the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh.
According to a defense official, the Sindoor operation was performed in May as a repressive and targeted campaign to reduce the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan despite the control line. The operation showed a calibrated reaction of Tri-Services embodying accuracy, professionalism and purpose.
Among the conference participants were also advisors to National Security Ajit Doval, the head of the General Defense of Anil Chauhan, Defense Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh and all three Chiefs of the Indian Armed Forces.
The CCC, a biennial event, is the highlight of the brainstorming forum of the Armed Forces and connects the highest civil and military leadership of the nation to exchange opinions and discuss strategic, institutional and operational priorities, with interactive sessions involving officers of different ranks.
This year’s meeting, 16 edition, will focus on reforms, transformation, change and operational readiness of the armed forces. The topic is the “Year of Reforms – Transformation for the Future”.
“The focus of the conference reflects the obligation of the armed forces to institutional reforms, deeper integration and technological modernization, while maintaining a high level of operational readiness for more domains,” the defensive official added.
The last CCC took place in Bopal in 2023.
PM Modi in Bengal and Bihar today
This is the fourth visit to PM Narendry Modi in Bengal in the last five months and the second one a month.
The Prime Minister arrived in Calcutta on Sunday evening from Assam and in the afternoon he leaves the city at Purneo in Bihar.
He arrived in Vijay Durg around 9:30 from Raj Bhavan, where he spent the previous night.
In Bihar, PM Modi will start several developmental projects worth £36,000 crore and address the public rally. In addition, it is launched by the newly developed airport terminal in North Bihar and fulfills the long -term demand for the connection of aviation in the region.
