PM Modi in Surat, Daman tomorrow: What’s on the agenda and itinerary? | Today’s news
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Daman on June 5, 2026, the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Thursday.
Around 2:30 pm, the Prime Minister will visit Hazira in Surat district and review the ongoing industrial operations and infrastructure projects. At around 4:15 pm, he will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth around ₹18,800 crore in Surat, the statement said. The Prime Minister will also address a rally on the occasion.

PM Modi will then travel to Daman where he will inaugurate the new terminal building of the NAMO airport in UT around 6.15 pm. The Prime Minister also dedicates the NAMO Hospital in Daman to the nation.
Then, at around 7:15 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth approx. ₹2,970 crores in Daman. He will also lay the foundation stone of four important projects for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep that stand around ₹885 million crowns. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
Itinerary of PM Modi in Surat
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of many worthwhile development projects ₹18,800 crore in Surat through road, power and industrial sectors.
Prime Minister Modi will dedicate packages VI and VII of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway to the nation, which will boost high-speed transport, logistics efficiency and economic connectivity between Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for key infrastructure projects that include four-laning of critical sections on NH-56 to improve connectivity across tribal regions and improve access to the Statue of Unity.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate a 200-bed ESIC Hospital in Surat, which will provide modern secondary healthcare across key specialties, supported by a central laboratory and essential ancillary services. It will initiate critical power and industrial infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the transmission grid in Gujarat to increase the power evacuation capacity of the interstate transmission system.

Prime Minister Modi will also launch several important initiatives of the Gujarat government, including the modern modernization of power distribution under the improved reform-based distribution system in Valsad, advanced waste water disposal and treatment infrastructure in Dahej Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) and Sarigam Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and the basic layout of Drugbus Drugbus Drugbus
Prime Minister’s program in Daman
The Prime Minister inaugurates, dedicates to the nation and lays the foundation stone of worthwhile development projects ₹2,970 crore in Daman. These projects cover various sectors including healthcare, civil aviation, tourism, infrastructure, connectivity and public welfare and are expected to provide a major boost to the overall development of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
PM Modi inaugurates and dedicates worthwhile projects ₹1,340 crore, including the new terminal building of NAMO Airport and NAMO Hospital, among others in Daman.

The new airport terminal will significantly strengthen regional air connections and facilitate economic growth in the region. NAMO Hospital, a district hospital in Daman district, has been developed to serve nearly 1500 OPD patients daily and will enhance access to quality health services for the people.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of worthwhile projects ₹1,630 million crowns. It will also lay the foundation stone of important projects for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep which stands around ₹885 million crowns.
