Prime Minister Narendra Modi canceled his visit to Kashmir three days before the terrorist attack of Pahalgam after receiving the news report on the possibility of the same, President of the Mallikarjun Kharge Congress.
When Kharge focused on the “Samvidhan Bachao” assembly in Jharkhand, he headed for the government’s treatment of the terrorist attack of Pahalgam of 22 April and asked the government why she did not take appropriate measures, although she had intelligence about a possible terrorist attack in Kashmir.
“I got information that three days before the attack, the news report was sent to the Prime Minister Modim, and on that basis he canceled his program to visit Kashmir. I also read it in the newspaper,” Kharge said.
“If intelligence could warn that it was not safe for you (PM) to go there, why you did not take the right steps to protect tourists and civilians,” he asked.
The President of Congress asked why the government did nothing, even though it had intelligence inputs on the attack.
“The main terrorist attack took place in the 22nd April, in which 26 people were killed. Intelligence has failed; the government recognized it and said it would solve it. But if they were aware of it, why nothing happened,” he said.
MALLIKARJUN KHARGE further said he was standing with the government in any decision against Pakistan.
“We have already said that any strong decisions that the government will take against Pakistan in the fight against terrorism, we will stand with the government. Because it is a matter of national security. The country is the first; everything else is secondary. We have done victims for this nation.”
BJP hits back on Kharge’s notes, calls him “Modern Mir Jaffar”
Slamming Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of BJP, called his statement “treacherous” and described it as “modern Mir Jaffar”.
“He made treacherous statements similar to modern Mir Jaffar. His toxic, unfounded, unfounded boasting against the Prime Minister is the most deplorable and convict, and the remarks of Mr. Kharge are unforgettable, uncontrollable and cannot be forgiven.”
He demanded an unconditional apology from the leader of the congress.
“Everyone demands an unconditional apology from him and should also clean up what inputs he received to make such outrageous notes.”
The tension escalated between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack of Pahalgam 22 April, in which 26 people were killed.
The Cabinet Committee for Safety (CCS) met April 23 and was informed in detail about the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
