Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (September 11, 2025) announced financial assistance to 1,200 Crore for the Uttarakhand floods. During his visit to the state, Mr Modi also announced Ex Gratia of 2 lakh for families of the deceased and 50,000 GBP for those who were injured in rain -related incidents.
The Prime Minister, who could not conduct aerial survey of areas affected by floods due to poor weather, announced comprehensive support to children who lost their parents in the flood or related incidents. The same would be taken care of for the care of PM.
He expressed the condolences of the relationship of those who lost their lives in natural calamity and met families affected by recent floods. Mr Modi appreciated the efforts of the NDRF, SDR, Army, State Administration and other organizations oriented organizations for efforts in immediate relief and reaction.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a multidimensional approach to helping the whole region and recovering people affected by floods.

Mr Modi said that the current assistance announced that it had announced that it was in the Catastrophery Act, including preliminary state payments, and added that the Center would further assess the assessment on the basis of the state memorandum and in the report of the central teams that were sent to access to damage.
