Kolkata Knight Riders Spin Bowling Coach Carl Crowe said that players are pleased that Abhishek Nayar back in coaching. Nayar, who has been an integral part of the KRK team in the last few years, has left to take the role of an assistant coach with the Indian team under Gautam Gambhir after the iPL triumph in 2024.
However, Nayar was released only 8 months into his work with the national side and Krk rushed quickly to bring him back to franchise. Crowe spoke at a press conference before the match and said that Nayar has a big bond with players and expects his return to have a positive impact on the group.
“Abhishek, of course, has been around franchise for a long time, a very popular member of the coaching staff and players regularly communicated with him for many years. So it is great to have Abhisheka back and undoubtedly have a positive impact.

When he asked the impact that Nayar’s return would have, Crowe said it would be positive and said that the former Indian cricket played a big role last year in the triumph of the title. Crowe said that Nayar would be a big plus that he would have on the side of the IPL.
