Video from Jinnah Karachi Airport became a viral after the passenger showed that food served on plates marked as condom boxes. The man, Salim Akhtar Siddiqui, appreciated the taste of food, but was shocked by a plate.
“Pakistani is so bad that we get such paper boards. I feel like crying,” Salim says in the video.
The Pakistani traveler faces business employees. “It’s not your fault, it’s our people’s fault,” he says, accusing the system.
The video again went so viral that BJP spokesman Shehzad Poonawall also shared it from his official handle.
“Condoms boxes = paper boards in Pakistan? Pakistani passengers released a video from Pakistan’s Karachi airport, where food was served on paper boards, which were to be used in C*NDom boxes,” he wrote when he shared Instagram.
“He deserves the price for the best recycling of the country,” one user joked.
Karachi Mein Bhi Hai Airport (have Airport in Karachi)? “There was another sarcastic answer.
Another social media user commented: “This is called recycling and reuse. It’s paper, no c*ndom.”
“I am sorry to warn it, but yes, the original purpose of the paper was to be converted into a condoms packaging. It was probably refused because of incorrect printing or specifications, and instead it is converted to a paper plate. I never got into a condom box, I can only hope.”
The viral video is old
While the viral video is currently treated on social media, it has been since April 2023.
Soon after the video became viral more than two years ago, Border Health Services closed all food counters in the company that used these boards. Director of BHS Dr. Murtaza Shah said that the event was adopted as a result of hygiene problems, Karachi’s times at that time reported.
The publication also stated that such boards were delivered to Indian and foreign passengers. The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that all counters using branded boards in domestic and international areas were closed.
