Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati, Kn Satyanarayana, On Friday Said That The Nation Stands at and Defining Moment in Its Journey Toward Becoming Viksit Bharat by 2047. He Emphasized that Planners and Architects Will Play Cities that serve as “Engines of Growth” while remaining inclusive, sustainable, and dignified Spaces for All.

Vijayawada for the ninth convening of the school planning and architecture (SPA), Mr. Satyanarayana identified four key drivers that will form the future of design and planning: sustainability and resistance to climate, technology and data, inheritance and identity and design focused.
When he approached students, he reminded them that they not only proposed buildings or plans. “You suggest the future of how India lives. Your work takes the form of the idea of Vikit Bharat – where the growth is cope with sustainability and innovation is governed by empathy,” he said.
He also mentioned ongoing discussions on closer cooperation between Spa Vijayawad and Iit Tirupati, including joint research initiatives, shared academic programs and students’ exchange, emphasizing the potential for a deeper institutional partnership.
The Chairman of the Board of Governors Spa Vijayawad, Amogh Kumar Gupta, said the institution focuses on supporting intellectual development, creativity and a strong sense of responsibility among students. He called on graduates to remain lifelong students. “Education is more of a way than a goal. Stay curious, stay open to new ideas, and never underestimate your ability to create a positive change,” he said.
Spa director Vijayawada, Ramesh Sikonda, submitted a report that emphasized the successes of the Institute during the academic year 2024–25. He spoke of the focus of the institution on sustainable and inclusive practices and its growing cooperation with renowned national and international institutions. He also emphasized several new initiatives, including signature in September 2025 Memorandum of High Impact Understanding (Mo) between Spa Vijayawad’s Amrut Center of Excellence in determining the construction of capacities (ACUPCB) and the government of Andhra Pradesh’s administration and Urban Development (Maud). My acknowledges and expertise in the field of urban planning and development of the spa Vijayawada acknowledges, he added.
A total of 276 students were awarded titles. Among them, 10 graduates received gold medals for 2024–25 and the 12 best diploma awards were awarded to university and postgraduate students in planning and architecture.
