TThe campaign to Hyderabad a local member of the Legislative Council (MLC), which recently came to the conclusion, provided a view of how the political environment in Telangana could change in the next few years.
Bharatiya Janata (BJP) tries to discover as a strong candidate. The National Party opposed the candidate against the whole of India Majlis-E-Lithehadul Muslimeen (Aimim), although chances were hard to stack against him.
BJP tested its Hindutva strategy, which provided it with dividends throughout India. The leaders openly appealed to religious feelings. The party urged the GHMC Corporators, MLA and MLC, which belong to the Hindu community to oppose Aimima, and described them as a “municipal party”. It went to the extent of bindings of posters and banners on the residents of Congress corporations and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and urged them to switch the sides.
Minister of the Union for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, known as a mild voice, surprised many people by accepting a sharp municipal tone during the campaign. His speeches showed to what extent the party formed its story of the campaign. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was formerly the head of BJP Telangan and who is known for the fire brand of politics, kept the municipal pot with a boiling focus on Aimim and called the political alliance Aimim and the “wicked” congress. Malkajgiri MEP Etala Rajender, who previously cut his teeth on the left politics and later BRS, more aggressively ordered the BJP line than ever before.
Political parties, including the ruling congress, consider this to be a decisive shift in the BJP strategy not only for these elections, but for the upcoming Telelangana elections, such as Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which were at the end of the year. They believe that BJP will not miss the smallest opportunity for fans of municipal passions if it could help encourage voters.
The head of the BJP agreed that their goal is clear – to use the MLC elections as a staging ground for the preparation of the cadre and the public for GHMC elections and the formation of the public psyche. They said that the goal is to consolidate Hindu voices across castes and class lines. It is planned to become stronger in the future surveys of public opinion in 2028.
In the previous GHMC elections, BJP accepted a harder tone against Aimim. The then head of the BJP state, Mr. Bandi Sanjay, launched a blistering attack against Aimaim and said that the headquarters of Aimi would be demolished if the party dared to touch the former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao on the jacket coast. This was in response to the legislator Aimima Akbaruddin Owaisi’s remark that the tombs of Rao and former main Minister NT Rama Rao on the shores of Hussain Sagar should first be destroyed if the TELANGANA RASHTRA Samithi considered penetration into the Old Town. BJP harvested benefits from this strategy; Several people, including those who are not known, were chosen.
Although the party lost 2025 MLC, as expected, it managed to create a buzzing around its campaign style and signaling what its main story would be in the coming months. He also managed to control discourse.
BJP wrapped two of the three MLC constituents – teachers and graduates from the North Telangana districts – which showed that the victory of eight places in the last year’s parliamentary elections was not in the pan.
The party believes that now has a real opportunity to appear as an impressive force in the political landscape of Telangana. The fact that BJP is a partner in the government of the National Democratic Alliance in neighboring Andhra Pradesh could help her increase his trail in Telangana.
If rumors are to be believed, another state president of BJP will probably be a hawk rather than a slightly spoken politician. It seems that the party is convinced that a combat, non -applied hard face would be more suitable for making a new political opportunity in Telangana, especially when the state political landscape passes through the weakening of BRS.
In surveys of public opinion MLC in Hyderabad, perhaps BJP may not have won, but he dropped the story and sent his rivals and his rank and file for the battles for which he is prepared, armed with ammunition Hindutvy.
