Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) decided to assign 15% of seats in courses offering it to children of agricultural workers from the academic year 2025-26, in addition to the existing provision of 40% of the seats of children of farmers.
On Saturday, the university of Aldas Janaiah announced here. He asked the pedagogical community at all levels to expand the decision by creating awareness between parents.
Janaiah said that they were also launching the “Rythu Mungitlo Shastravettal” (scientists in the Prague farmers) of May 5 with 200 agricultural teams and allied scientists who will visit about 1200 villages by June 13.
They would raise farmers about reducing the use of urea using chemicals – fertilizers and pesticides – only in the prescribed amount to protect the soil health, proper water control, patterns of changing crops, growing trees, environmental protection and others.
