
The Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Union PIYUSH Goyal on Wednesday, April 16, announced in a social media’s contribution on X that he had encountered a delegation of Starlink officials to discuss the future plans for investment in India.
In his post, Goyal stressed that he had met with Vice President of Starlink Chad Gibbs and head director Ryan Goodnight to discuss the expansion of the Indian partnership with Elon Musk-owned company.
“The discussion concerned the top technology platform Starlink, their existing partnership and future investment plans in India,” Piyush Goyal said in his contribution on the X platform.
Starlink’s partnership with Jio, Bharti Airtel
Starlink Elon Musk announced his step towards signing a partnership agreement with the Indian telecommunications major Bharti Airtel to bring high -speed satellite internet service to India, according to BSE on Tuesday, March 11.
This Agreement will provide SpaceX, the Owner of the Starlink brand, the right to sell the Starlink Services in India after obtaining regulatory approval from the country’s authorities.
“Cooperation with SpaceX on Airtel’s customers in India is an important milestone, and further shows our obligation to satellite connection,” said Gopal Vittal, CEO and Vice -President of Bharti Airtel, in an official statement.
A day later, Reliance owned Jio announced that, like Airtel, he was working with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to provide Starlink’s high -speed internet services to its customers in India.
The aim of Starlink is to take advantage of the dominance of the Jio market to enter the Indian market and provide satellite Internet technology to ensure reliable access to data throughout the country.

Starlink uses the country’s lower orbit to supply the Internet of broadband (Wi-Fi) to people and was the first and largest provider of satellite internet to do so on a global scale, according to its official website.
People can use this broadband internet network to support streaming, online games, video call, etc. by tapping the satellite network through their Starlink device.
The partnership between the US registered office and Indian telecommunications companies is expected to be dealt with in problems with Indian connectivity in rural and remote regions and will expand the domestic telecommunications industry of the nation.
