The Chief Minister of Pinaraya Vijayan accused the government led by Narendra Modi-LED at the Center for the Film of the Educational and Research Funds for the Planned Kaste Communities and Planned Tribes (SC/ST). Mr. Vijayan said his government would launch the schemes to ensure that the SC/ST communities would not be left on the developmental path of Keraly. He said that in the last nine years, 2.45 LakH appointments have been made according to the reservation principles. He also stated that his government ensured a higher allocation for the development of SC/W than their population ratio, established model residential schools with modern facilities, provided scholarships to six students of Lakh SC/W, built hostels for them and distributed land to families without land.
The main minister said that SC/ST communities historically faced injustices and violence across the country. “Therefore, social justice was enshrined in the constitution. The manipulation of the constitution directly undermines social justice,” he warned.
