The celebrations will be held at the Pinakini Satyagraha Ashram in Pallepadu village of Indukurpet mandal in the district on October 2 from 9 am.

The main highlight of the program will be the unveiling of plaques bearing the names of freedom fighters from the erstwhile Nellore district who participated in the freedom movement and were imprisoned at various stages of the struggle. Family members of freedom fighters will be honored during the celebrations.

The initiative is to preserve the memory of the freedom fighters of the district and ensure that their contributions are remembered by future generations.

The free medical and dental camp will be held under the auspices of the Indian Red Cross Society, which will offer medical services and dental check-ups to members of the public.

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy will attend the celebrations as chief guests. Avanigadda MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad and Telangana State MLC Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chari are among the distinguished guests.
