
Rajasthan News: On Tuesday, eight men drowned in the Rajasthan River in the Tonk district drowned, the police said. The deceased came from Jaipur to a picnic.
Three others were rescued and their condition is stable, police superintendant, Tonk, Vikas Sangwan said PTI.
The incident occurred after a group of 11 men between the ages of 25 and 30 entered the river to bathe as they slipped into deep water.
Rajasthan cm Bhajanlal Sharma offers condolences
Rajasthan’s main Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said death and said the news was extremely “sad and painful”.
“Reports of deaths as a result of drowning in the Banas River found in the Tonk district are extremely sad and painful. Once information about the incident has been received, the District Administration officials were instructed to immediately rescue and help.”
Men declared dead in the hospital
Police guards, Tonk, Vikas Sangwan said it was not immediately clear how the men slipped into deep water.
“They were eliminated and rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared eight of them dead,” PTI said.
