
England and the Royal Call of Bengalur (RCB) Wicketkeeper-Bater Phil Salt shared the story of how his wife had made a decisive challenge to fly back to Ahmedabad and play the iPL 2025 final against the Pandjab Kings, immediately after their child’s birth. After missing the IPL 2024 finals with Kolkata Knight, the salt was determined not to let the history repeat and ensure that it is part of a RCB collision called.
When he spoke to Espncricinfo, salt described hectic for several days and how his family influenced his decision.
“I was in Ahmedabad two days before the finals and got a phone call from Missus to say it was definitely happening,” he recalls. “I got on the plane as fast as I could.”

The salt flew back to the UK after the victory of the RCB qualifier 1 over Kings Pandjab in New Chandigarh to be with her son’s birth to her son 1 June.
