Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola refused to comment on the controversial decision of the VAR (video assistant of the referee) that went against his party during their 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final. The incident concerned included the goalkeeper of the Dean Henderson Palace, who seemed to have manipulated the ball outside the penalty area in the 26th minute while trying to capture the passage for the city striker Erling Haaland. However, after the VAR review, the decision was issued in favor of Henderson.
When Guardiola asked about the incident after the match, he refused to share his opinions, instead indicated that such questions would be focused on the referees.
Crystal Palace created history by lifting its first main trophy in 120 yearswith the permission of the 16th minute target from Ebechi Eze. Although the palace was dominated in terms of possession, we managed to hold firmly against the attack of the urban star.
“Don’t ask me, ask Va and the referee,” Guardiola said after the match.
Guardiola also shared his view of Dean Heernan, whenever he received the ball, which left many urban fans and players irritated, specifically after the consistency of the goal in the 16th minute.
“Listen, defending its position, defending our position. I understand it in the last minutes, but from the first or second minutes? Is it a British, you know, you have to play in English football,” Guardiola said.
“I’m sorry, everyone can do what they want. We have to score goals. We didn’t lose because Henderson had time. But it’s a question of rhythm for players,” he added.
Henderson appeared as one of the key characters in the match. In addition to the disputed moment, he made several major savings – in particular he denied Omar Marmoush from a 36 -minute crime. Former goalkeeper Manchester United continued to reveal an exaggerated interview with a full -time Guardiola, and even his cunning added kopal on the city manager.
“I just went to growl my hand, but of course I think he was disappointed with time. I said,” You got 10 minutes (added time) you wanted. “No hard feelings,” Henderson said.
While the Guardiola remained firmly on the call, its disappointment was obvious during the heated quarrel with a full -time henderson. Spat had to be dispersed by the employees of the palace.
The city checked for most of the game, but the early goal and the defensive resistance of the Palace proved to be crucial, which gave the Guardiol men a rare defeat in the home finals.
