Main Minister Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday (August 4, 2025) that people should not give shelter to evicted persons, otherwise the “position of our people”, which improved through eviction and other measures, will become “bad” again.
He argued that the government would continue its anti-e-enhancement rides to protect the “community” (community) if people continue to work with it.
“Our people are conscious now. I don’t think they will work a lot,” Mr. Sarma told reporters about the side of progems in Bodoland in the territorial region (BTR) when he asked if the evicted people would settle in other parts of the state.
He said that Encroachers should return from where they came from and the government has no objection to it.
He called on the public not to help the evicted people, and said, “Our people should not give them a shelter. Otherwise, our position, which has become a little good eviction and other steps, will become bad again.”
The main minister said that about 29 Lakh Bighas (more than 9.5 lakh acres) of the soil is still intervened in the state.
“A lot of work need to do and if people work with us, we will be able to do it and protect our” community “(community),” he added.
On the last week, the URIAMGHAT evictions along the interstate border with Nagaland said, “There is no Aggression Naga. Naga and the government helped us in eviction.”
Without nameing any community, he accused alleged interventions of being a root of several questions.
“By transforming our forest to the plantations of the betel nuts, fishing, they bother us. Who makes” love jihad “? It’s happening to us. We who should cry but avoid tears, “said Mr. Sarma.
The main minister said earlier that 1,29 lakh bighas (over 42,500 hectares) of the soil has been cleaned up in the last four years and claimed that these huge tracts were adhered to “illegal Bangladesh and dubious citizens”.
He argued that all unauthorized occupation of VGR (Village Pastring Reserve), PGR (Professional Pasting Reserve), Satras, Namghars, Forest Land and other public spaces would be cleaned by a gradual way.
On Sunday he said that the government would never move out “no Indian or Asam people”, the day after he said that unauthorized occupation of public land by indigenous people is not considered to be interference.
