
Peace time is nothing but “illusion” and India must remain ready for uncertainty even during a period of relative peace, said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while summoned the armed forces for the courage they showed during the Sindoor operation.

He urged his father to integrate this thinking into their planning, budget and decision -making systems.
Singh emphasized the growing strategic and economic importance of the defense sector and called on the perception of defense expenditure as merely spending on economic investment with a multiplier impact.
“Until recently, defense budgets have not been considered part of the national economy. Today they are growth drivers,” he added.
