PCC clears candidates and distributes Form B for municipal elections

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) unanimously approved the list of candidates for the municipal elections recommended by the party screening committee, formally clearing the way for the Congress to enter the municipal elections with its official candidates.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Pradesh Election Committee held via Zoom under the chairmanship of TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Gouda. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, among others, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the committee members discussed in detail the strategies to be adopted for the upcoming municipal elections, including candidate selection, campaign planning and ward-level coordination.

Ministers were asked to take responsibility for winning the maximum number of seats in their constituencies as well as in the constituencies they were in charge of. Mr. Revanth Reddy said the elections were crucial to further consolidate their power in the state.

Later in the evening, B-forms were distributed to the approved candidates by the authorized persons in their respective cities.
