
PCB issues new guidelines (Screengrab) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued new guidelines for all Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises following a breach of security protocols at the team hotel, making it clear that any further breach will not be tolerated.The move came after Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, currently representing the Lahore Qalandars, shared on social media that he was grateful to the PCB for allowing him to meet his family at the team hotel.In response, the PCB sent an official communication to all franchises and stakeholders stating that players and team officials are not allowed to meet family members at the team hotel without prior approval. The board mandated that such requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

IPL 2026: Ajinkya Rahane backs KKR’s young attack after loss “The board has made it clear that anyone who wants to meet family members at the hotel must seek permission 24 hours before the intended visit of the family members,” said a source close to the PCB.He said the board further clarified that they will try to arrange a suitable place for the player(s) to meet their family members at the team hotel.“The board has also made it clear that only the player’s wife, parents, brother and sister are allowed to enter the players’ room, even after obtaining permission from the board 24 hours in advance,” the source added.He said senior police officials took a serious view of the breach of security protocol of Lahore Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sikandar last Saturday night when four guests were found in his room late at night.“Police officials told the board that unless all franchises strictly follow security protocols, it will not be possible for them to provide a safe and secure environment at the team hotel for all players and officials.” The PCB’s security manager and anti-corruption chief is also learned to have conveyed his concerns about the breach to PSL CEO Salman Naseer.See also: DC vs LSG Live Score
