In response to the growing incidents of elephants, the agricultural areas in the villages in the Chittoor and Tirupati districts, and the representatives of the Chief Forest Minister and the Environment Pawan Kalyan issued officials to forest officials and took proactive measures to ensure life and property.
During Tuesday’s teleconference with leaders of forest officials, Mr. Pawan Kalyan reviewed the recent elephants movements, crop destruction, and the tragic death of the farmer due to the attack of elephants. He ordered the Ministry to use drone technology to monitor elephants’ movements and provision of timely warnings to vulnerable villages. He ordered the establishment of the WhatsApp groups at the village level to issue real -time warning and advice about the nearby herds. DFO and PCCF offices were entrusted with the supervision of the transmission of these warnings and coordinating the reaction strategy.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for continuous supervision of the soil in sensitive areas and urged off -road staff to avert herds back into forest areas and prevent further damage to crops and settlements. He also reiterated the importance of well -coordinated and technologically controlled reactions to minimize the conflicts of human and wild animals and the protection of rural communities.
Officials informed him about the new incident in the Chandragiri election district, where a herd of 11 elephants, including four calves, pedaling land near Satya Sai St Colony near the Kalyani dam.
