A court in Bihar’s Patna on Monday (July 13, 2026) granted anticipatory bail to tutor Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with the coaching institute dismissal case.
Three employees of the coaching institute were also given anticipatory bail, Mr. Khan’s lawyer said.
The case relates to a shooting that took place in early June after Mr Khan’s coaching institute was allegedly vandalized by a group of miscreants. His two security guards were charged with firing during the incident.
“Six people have been granted bail. The judge first announced the anticipatory bail of Khan Sir and then his three employees,” lawyer Arvind Kumar Mouar told reporters.
The Patna civil court also granted bail to two security personnel who were arrested in connection with the case, he said.
The court on Friday (July 10, 2026) adjourned its order on Mr Khan’s preliminary bail plea in the case to July 13, citing the vacation of the district judge.
On July 8, after hearing closing arguments from both sides, she reserved the order.
