A special team of the Coimbatore City police arrested John Ubaraj, 37 years, Pastor Kings Generation Church at Cross Cut Road in Coimbor, from Keraly for alleged sex attack on two smaller girls.
The police officer said that Jebaraj, who was free for about a week, was arrested from Munnar in the district of Idukki, Kerala late on Saturday (April 12, 2025). Early in the morning he was brought to Coimbatore.
Jebaraj is accused of sexually attacked two girls aged 17 and 14 at a party at his residence in Coimbatore 21st May 2024.
According to the police, one of the survivors filed a complaint against him at All Women, Coimbatore Central and was booked for offenses according to Section 9 (L) (M) (M) (M) (M) (M) (M) (M) and 10 (punishment for impaired sexual attacks) Protection of children from sexual offenses (POCSO).
With the escape of Jebaraje, the Municipal Police Commissioner A. Saravan Sundar created three special teams under the assistant of the police commissioner TH Ganesh to track him. The police also issued a notice of the prospect against him to prevent him from leaving the country.
Meanwhile, the police received reliable information hiding in Munnar. On Saturday, Munnar rushed a special team, headed by Inspector R. Arjun Kumar and arrested him. Was brought to Coimbatore for custody. He was made in front of the judge and until April 25 he was ceded in his custody.
Jebaraj, who has a large number of followers on social media platforms, was known for his Christian devoted songs and live performances. He was associated with Levi Ministers, a Christian ministry.
