
The veteran filmmaker Parthosh died due to a heart attack at the age of 75 on Monday 9th June. He is known for directing some of the most influential films in the Indian cinema at the age of 90, of which 100 days in Madhuri Dixit.
His other remarkable works include: Agni Sakshi (1996), Ghulam-E-Musthaf (1997), Teesra Kaun? (1994) and Yugpurush (1998).

Partho Ghosh was a seasoned Indian filmmaker whose career lasted over three decades across Hindi and regional cinema. Ghosh, known for his ability to mix a hard interference with mainstream sensitivity, has gained recognition for the creation of emotionally resonant stories that affected the chord with a diverse audience.
His 1996 Agni Sakshi film, the lead role of Manisha Koiral, Jackie Shroff and Nana Patekar, remains a milestone for a sensitive but grasping depiction of domestic violence. The film has received several awards and was even the Indian official entry into the Academy Awards of that year.
Another great success was Ghulam-E-Musthaf (1997), a layered criminal drama representing Nana Patekar and Raveen Tandon, who gained cult status for his convincing view of the morality in the underworld.
In addition to films, Ghosh also contributed to Hindi television and Bengali. In 1994, she was attributed to the launch of actress Rituparna Sengupt in Hinda films.
Ghosh took a short break from the movies before returning in 2018 with Mausam Ikra for to Pal Pyaar Ke. Mukesh J Bharti, Madalsa Sharma and Avinash Wadhawan played a romantic drama.
