
About 30 Western leaders met on Thursday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelsky in Paris to discuss potential security guarantees for Kiev in the case of a peace agreement with Russia. The summit, described as a “coalition willing”, joined the leaders from Europe, Australia, Japan and Canada, with some neighboring states joining through a video link.
Green singles out trump
In the notes of the Zeletsky summit, he expressed gratitude to his ally and specifically recognized the role of Donald Trump.
“I would especially like to thank President Trump for all his efforts to end this war and the readiness of America to provide support from Ukraine on her part,” he said Zelena.
He also warned that Moscow deliberately extends the conflict.
“We have the same vision that Russia is doing everything possible to pull out the negotiation process and continue the war,” he said.
He organized a separate meeting with a special ambassador of Trump Steve Witkoff.
The EU is preparing new sanctions
The Ukrainian leader confirmed that the 19th package of European Union sanctions on Russia is read. The head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said earlier that the measures would be introduced this month.
European panties trump on interviews
According to the German government spokesperson Ukraine and European leaders informed Trump after the Paris summit. Berlin stressed that Europe is ready to play a key role in strengthening Kiev defense.
“Europeans are definitely ready to contribute to strong security guarantees for Ukraine after the negotiated solution. Germany will play its role,” the spokesman said, stressing that the emphasis would be on financing, armaments and training of Ukrainian forces.
Trump is pushing Europe on oil and china
The White House official revealed that Trump had urged European allies to reduce his energy ties with Moscow.
“President Trump stressed that Europe must stop buying Russian oil that finances the war – because Russia received fuel sale of EUR 1.1 billion in one year,” the official said.
Trump also called for economic pressure on Beijing: “The President also stressed that European leaders must exert economic pressure on China to finance Russian war efforts.”
Call with PM modi
During the summit, European leaders also spoke by phone with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modim, who recently visited Beijing for the Summit of the Organization for Cooperation in Shanghai. EU chief Ursula von der Leyen said that Modi has a crucial role in the insistence of Russia to end his aggression.
“India plays an important role in bringing Russia to end the war for aggressiveness and help create a way to peace,” Von der Leyen said in a post on social media.

Macron: US support to be completed
French President Emmanuel Macron, who spoke alongside Zelena, confirmed that 26 countries are ready to contribute to the post -war assured force in Ukraine. He also noted that Washington’s support would soon be locked.
“We kept calling with President Trump … The conclusions of this call are simple: in the coming days we will complete the US support and these security guarantees,” Macron said.
“The United States, as I said, were involved in each stage of the process.”
Macron added that Ukraine would coordinate sanctions with the US that will be activated if Moscow continues to reject peace interviews.
