
The Pandjab Police arrested a man for being in contact with Pakistani international intelligence (ISI) and shared sensitive information concerning the Army movement during the Sindoor Operation, the CEO of the police, said Punjab Police on Tuesday.
Gagandeep Singh, aka Gagan, was arrested after the information from the police intelligence unit was received. DGP said Gagan is accused of involved in sharing classified details, including the deployment of soldiers and strategic places, which represents a threat to national security.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Gagan was in contact with the Pakistani supporter Khalistani Gopal Singh Chawl in the last five years, through which he was introduced to Pakistani intelligence (PIO). He also received payments from Pios through Indian channels, DGP said in a post on X.

A mobile phone containing intelligence that shared with PIO and details of more than 20 ISI contacts has been restored. The company was registered under the Official Secret Act at PS City, Tarn Taran, and another investigation is underway, DGP added.
“A thorough financial and technical investigation is underway to monitor further links and create a full range of these spy networks,” DGP said. Previously, the police arrested six people, including a woman from the Malerkotl district, for alleged espion for Pakistan.
As part of the Sindoor operation, the Indian armed forces carried out on May 7 before the dawn of missile strikes on nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan dressed in Kashmir (POK), including the Jaish-E-Mohammad Fortress Bahawalpur and Lashkar-E-Taba at Muridke.
Police link to Thane ‘Spy’ Extended
On Monday, the court extended to 5 June to 5 June, the police connection of mechanical engineer Ravindra Verma, arrested for alleged espionage and sharing sensitive information about warships and submarines in Pakistan after prosecution said that his colleagues must be questioned.
According to the PTI report, a 27 -year -old junior engineer, who worked with a technology company for defensive technology, arrested last week. He is the inhabitants of Kalwa in the neighboring Thane.
Verma was made in court in Thane on Monday at the end of her previous custody. The police asked to extend Verm’s custody that the probe had to be carried out at the Verma workplace and question his colleagues.

According to the police, Verma was lured into the transfer of classified information after the honey was imprisoned by a Pakistani agent who acted as a woman on Facebook, PTI added.
The police said Verma shared sensitive information about warships and submarines to Pakistani intelligence agency through sketches, diagrams and sound notes and in return received money from various bank accounts in India and abroad.
However, Verma’s lawyer claimed that his arrest was illegal because ATS did not follow legal instructions. The lawyer said that the court had seen no solid evidence and that the blue diary was only recovered from him to work related to work.
