The AAM AADMI (AAP) led by Bhagwant Mann in Panjab faced unexpected criticism from their own ranks during the assembly, when two sides of the MLA raised concerns about the shabby health care system, NDTV reported.
One of them, Devinderjet Singh Laddi Dhos, went so far that people in their constituency feel that they “live in Pakistan” because of lack of medical facilities.
“Why this discrimination of mog … whether Moga is part of the panda. I feel like we may live in Pakistan,” he said.
MLA dhose slams govt for ignoring mog
Dhose, Mla of Dharamkot in the district of Moga, questioned the Minister of Health Pandjab Dr. Balbira Singho on plans for upgrading the primary health center in Dharamkot.
In response to this, the Minister said that no such proposal was considered, which justifies that the center operates under the Community Health Center in Kot Ise Khan, located 8 km away.
He also ruled out the possibility of establishing a traumatic center and added that Panjab currently had five such devices in Jalandhar, Pathankot, Khanna, Ferozepur and Fazilka.
Along with the answer, Dhos, Dhos, he criticized the government sharply and claimed that his constituency and MOGA district were neglected.
Later, when he talked to the media, Dhos softened his attitude and said that the situation was not “bad” and that AAP management has always encouraged MLA to express concern.
“I just thought we needed more doctors and hospital upgrades. Our leadership supports us to increase our votes for our constituencies,” he explained.
Shutana Mla also increases the alarm over the lack of doctors in hospitals
Dhose was not the only MLA that voted dissatisfaction. Kulwant Singh Bazagon, AAP MLA of Shutrana, also questioned the Minister of Health and claimed that three hospitals in his constituency lacked doctors, which further revealed gaps in Pandjab’s medical infrastructure.
The incident built the AAP government on the defensive and emphasized the growing internal criticism of public care issues.
While the party claims that the MLA can freely express concern, the episode has evoked political debates about whether the state is doing enough to improve access to health care.
