Former Minister of Trade Unions and Congress President Tamil Maanil (Moopanar) GK Vasan on Saturday (June 28, 2025) said that the Secretary General Aiadmk Edapadi K. Palaniswami was the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu.
When he talked to reporters on the side line of the party’s function in Salem, Mr. Vasan said there were no problems in NDA and that they remained “strong and winning alliances”. He claimed that the ruling DMK tried to create confusion in NDA. Mr. Vasan added that the Minister of the Interior of the Union Amit Shah explained the position of the Alliance during his visit to Chennai and the State President BJP Nagenthran also explained who the leader NDA in Tamil Nadu and who will be the main candidate for the Minister.
In a recent interview with Tamil newspapers, Mr. Vasan, he answered a question about Mr. Shah, who did not name Mr. Palaniswami as the main candidate for the Minister, said the Minister of Trade Unions announced the alliance with AIADMK by sitting beside him.
Regarding the demand of political parties for the coalition government in Tamil Nadu, Mr. Vasan said that there is a discussion between the parties in ruling and opposition alliances about the idea of the idea and that there is nothing wrong with it.
