
Palakkad city will host this year’s State School Science Festival from November 7. The four-day event will be held at six venues. These will be Kanikkamatha Girls English Medium Higher Secondary School, MES Higher Secondary School (Olavakode), Bharatha Matha Higher Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School (Big Bazar), BEM Higher Secondary School and Palakkad Fort Maidan.
The key event of the Science Fair will be held at Bharatha Matha School. There will be a seminar and quiz competitions on the opening day.
Remaining days
On the 8th, 9th and 10th of November, there will be competitions for working model, stationary and research projects for the categories of primary and secondary schools, teaching assistant projects and teachers.
Work experience and a craft fair will be held at the BEM school. A special school fair will be held on November 8. On November 9, there will be live competitions in the general category of secondary schools. For upper secondary and upper vocational secondary schools, there will be live competitions on November 10.
Social science mela, atlas making, lectures and local history competitions will be held at Big Bazar School.
A Maths Mela will be held at Olavakode School. Live competitions will be on November 8.
The IT mela will be held at Kanikkamatha School. The digital painting and presentation competitions will be held on November 8. Vocational Higher Secondary Education Expo will be held at Palakkad Fort Maidan.
The public will be allowed to enter from 15:00 to 17:00 at the workplace.
The career fest will be held as part of the science fair at Palakkad Fort Maidan on November 8 and 9. The festival will organize roping in 16 higher education institutions in the government and private sectors.
A career seminar for students of higher secondary schools will be held here at Government Moyan Model Girls Higher Secondary School on November 9 in the morning.
VK Sreekandan, MP inaugurated the construction of the pandal for the science festival here on Tuesday. Joint Director of General Education A. Aboobacker presided over the function.
