
The Pakistani cricket council (PCB) has been interpreting the dough of Haider Ali after it turned out that the 24 -year -old was the subject of criminal investigation of the Great Manchester Police (GMP) in the UK. The suspension, confirmed PCB in an official statement, will remain in place until the outcome of the investigation.
The exact nature of the alleged crimes has not been published, Espncricinfo states that Haider has been carefully interviewed, although he is not in custody at present.
It is understood that the investigated incident took place during the recent tour of England in Pakistan Shaheens, which was closed at the beginning of this week. Haider was one of the older players on tour and in all three 50 matches with first -class XI and both three -day accessories was one of the higher players.
In its statement, the PCB stated that it was informed of the investigation and emphasized its obligation to respect legal procedures in the UK.
“The PCB has been informed about the criminal investigation currently conducted by the Greater Manchester police, which includes a cricket Haider Ali. The investigation concerns the incident that allegedly occurred during the recent Shaheens Pakistani in England,” the council said.
“PCB fully respects the legal procedures and processes of the United Kingdom and recognizes the importance of allowing the investigation to be carried out at the right time. The PCB has therefore decided to place Haider Ali in the interim suspension, immediately effective and wait for the result of the ongoing investigation.”
The Council also confirmed that Haider receives legal aid “to protect his rights in this process”. After the conclusion of the court proceedings and all facts, the PCB reserves the right to take further steps according to its Code of behavior.
Haider, who made his debut in 2020, represented Pakistan in two one -day international and 35 T20 International. Despite the promising beginning of his career, he has fought in the form and consistency in recent years.
The PCB has repeated its attitude that the proper process must be allowed to complete its course, and will not make any further comments until the investigation reaches its conclusion.
