
The Pakistani cricket council (PCB) announced a 50 % increase in maintenance fees for the national female cricket team in all central categories of contracts for the 2025-26 season, which runs from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
This increase in wages shows a strong PCB focus on supporting female cricket and rewarding performances. A total of 20 players have received contracts, now divided into five categories – from A to E – increasing the more inclusive system.
The best rated T20i Bowler Sadia iqbal was promoted to the Agreement Agreement A. joined Captain Fatima Sana, goalkeeper Muneeba Ali and versatile Sidra amin in the upper holder. Sadio’s promotion comes after its strong performance in the World Cup ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, where it took nine goals on average 16 and was named in the tournament team.

The PCB also introduced a new category E for developing players. The aim of this category is to quickly monitor young talents. Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar, both parts of Pakistan in August 2025 a tour of Ireland and former U19 players are the first to be included.
Several other players have won promotional events. Diana Baig moved to category B and Rameen Shamim was included in category C based on consistent performance. Others like Aliya Riaz, Sidra Nawaz, Natalia Parvaiz and Waheed Akhtar received central contracts, fall into category B or D.
These changes come before the busy year for the Pakistani women’s team, with the World Cricket Championship in September – October 2025, the World Women’s World Cup in June 2026 and multiple homes and away by bilateral series.
