The head physician of Pakistan’s origin admitted that he left the patient’s medium surgery to engage in sexual activity with a nurse at the nearby operational theater, the British Medical Tribunal heard. During the recent hearing of Dr. Suhail Anjum (44) admitted that in September 2023 in Tameside General Hospital in a large Manchester, he left the patient and joined the nurse with a nurse.

He said his wife suffered trauma after the premature birth of their youngest daughter and left him other family duties.
He said the panel, “That was a unique incident. I can’t express how shameful it is for me. I’m really sorry, and I fully recognize the seriousness of my behavior. I would like to secure the panel that it won’t happen again, but it doesn’t take guilty and embarrassment.”

Dr. Suhail Anjum graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Lahore in 2004. In 2011 he moved to Great Britain, worked in Bristol, Milton Keynes and Dartford before joining the integrated trust Tameside and Glossop in 2015.
He left confidence in October 2024 and later worked in Liverpool before returning to Pakistan in January. Despite Anjum scandal, he expressed the desire to restore his medical career in the UK.
