
According to family members of the victims, two men from Telangana and other injuries were killed in an attack on the bakery in Dubai, allegedly carried out by Pakistani national shouting of religious slogans.
One of the deceased Ashtap Premsagar (35), coming from Soan Village in the Nirmal district in Telangana. His uncle, A. Poetty, informed PTI that Premsagar was killed by a sword of April 11. The incident shocked the local community and other details are expected to investigate the motif and circumstances around the attack.
The alleged incident occurred in the bakery where the victims worked.
“Premsagar has been employed in the bakery in the last five six years. He last visited his family two years ago,” Poetty said.
Telangana, Chief Minister of Revanth Reddy, expressed sadness over the murders and said he had spoken to the Minister of Outside with Jaishankar for helping their deadly remains to India.
“Deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two Telugan youth from Telangana in Dubai, Ashtap Premsagar from the Nirmal and Srinivas district of the Nizamabad district. He spoke to Hon’s external matter Jaishankar on this matter and assured full support to families and remains of mortality.”
He said that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will also work to ensure the provision of rapid justice in this matter and at the same time thank Jaishankar for his help.
The expressing grief, Minister of the Union for Domestic Bandi Sanjay Kumar said he had spoken to officials of Mea and that officials of the Union Ministry were in contact with them.
“The deeply saddled tragic killing of Shri Ashtap Prem Sagar and Shri Srinivas, both TELANGANA workers who were brutally attacked by a Pakistani national in the modern LLC bakery in Dubai during working hours on April 11,” he said at X.
We are expanding all necessary support for timely repatriation of the victims.
Through the Indian consulate, the police were invited in Dubai to “speed up the process,” he said.
He thanked the Ministry of External Affairs for his rapid response in urgent monitoring of this matter.
