
Pakistan at the top of the table in the qualifications of the Women’s World Championship this year for a 50-over tournament in India. (Figure: ICC) Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistani cricket council (PCB), announced on Saturday that their women’s team would play their ICC ODI World Cup matches in a neutral place instead of traveling to India at the end of this year, after a hybrid model created during the recent ICC Champions Trophy trophy.
The agreement was achieved at the beginning of this year, allowing India and Pakistan to play neutral places when both countries organize the ICC event.

“Like India, she did not play in Pakistan in the Champions Trophy trophy and was allowed to play in a neutral place, whether we would play.
The decision on the neutral place will be made by ICC and India, who organize a tournament scheduled by September 29 to October 26, while Australia as a champion advocate.

Pakistan ensured the World Cup qualification by winning all five matches in the qualifications held in Lahore, defeating Ireland, Scotland, Western India, Thailand and Bangladesh.
“The team has shown how to use home and play as a collective unit. I am glad that the female cricket is doing well now,” Naqvi commented on Pakistan’s qualifying campaign.

PCB chairman confirmed that the Board of Directors would announce a special reward for the excellent performance of the female team.
Pakistan joins qualified teams, including hosts of India, England, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka for the main tournament.
Naqvi expressed satisfaction at the successful hosting another ICC PCB event after the Champions trophies.
